Educational Praxis, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded by educator Janaki Natarajan, who has taught in Tanzania, China, South India, Washington D.C., and currently in Brattleboro, Vermont.  The organization is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of educators/teachers, musicians, practitioners in computer science education and health workers.  The mission of Educational Praxis is to bring people of diverse communities together for direct educational activities and to develop solidarity with learning-teaching centers around the world.  Our educational activities promote critical reflection, economic equity and security, ecological consciousness, cultural groundings and creative action for the purpose of addressing the schisms of class, race, caste and gender.

            Educational Praxis recognizes that inequalities exist in Southern Vermont and elsewhere in the world; therefore, we offer programs at the local and international level.  Our services in Southeastern Vermont area involves teaching in colleges, schools and workshops at all levels to promote a deeper understanding of history and cultural groundings.  The work of Educational Praxis, Inc. also has included connecting with and supporting educational institutions in other parts of the world.  Currently, Educational Praxis is linked with the Bapagrama School in Bangalore, South India, which provides free education for students from rural and industrial areas outside the city.  This educational link provides opportunities for students to travel to Bapagrama on our service-based exchange programs.
